klyn.io.FileInputStream.seek
method
public seek(offset as Long) as Void
Description

Positions the open file at an absolute byte offset, including after EOF. Does not allocate a buffer or reopen the file.

Parameters
ParameterDescription
offsetNon-negative byte position from the start of the file.
Throws
  • IOException if the stream is closed or seeking fails.
  • IndexException for a negative position.
